JOB SUMMARY :
Under the supervision of a Lead Medical Assistant or Network Director, and Physician, provides patient care, data collection and clerical duties in the Mercy Family Care Network. Assists physician with minor surgery and office procedures. Performs minor laboratory and diagnostic testing (phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, etc.).
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE :
High School diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant or nursing assistant certification required. Previous medical office experience preferred. BCLS certification required within six months and maintained bi-annually.
