Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes strategies for a function or discipline that span a large business unit or multiple markets/sites
- Directs others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines
- Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external)
- Responsible for achieving growth goals
- Develops, maintains, and executes Complex Care market expansion strategies for region
- Serves as technical expert for Complex Care Products to state governments, including Governor and staff, legislators and staff, administration officials and influential stakeholders
- Negotiates with state policy makers program elements for Complex Care Products - including managed long-term care and integrated Medicare and Medicaid models
- Directs development of legislative strategies to be implemented by Government Affairs - providing ongoing oversight
- Responsible for negotiating model compromises with key stakeholders to ensure forward development of program
- Supports Regional President and Plan Presidents to achieve individual market growth goals for Complex Care Products by serving as technical expert and providing program development/enhancement support
- Represents organization with key advocates and constituents (e.g. providers, members, professional associations, aging experts, disability advocates, etc.) and develops strategic relationships and identifies opportunities for strategic partnerships
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
10+ years Business Development or Sales experience
Experience with complex and long term sales cycles
Experience in representing business opportunities with Senior Executives
Ability to engage multiple business segments to support state program development
Experience in evaluating complex opportunities and providing organizational oversight to develop business solutions for such opportunities
Proven ability to identify policy makers, stakeholders, influencers and decision makers and advocates
10+ years experience growing professional relationships
Willingness to travel 75% within the region as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experience
Experience with Government or large group sales
Advanced degree - MPA, MPH, MBA, JD
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or waiver programs
