BSHSI POSITION SUMMARY Conducts health assessments of patients presenting to Care-A-Van for care. Provides services or referrals based on the assessment.JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Licensed practical nurse--Must be a graduate of an accredited program. Current LPN license required.2. Previous work experience in public health or in community health outreach working with culturally diverse populations. Bilingual skills preferred.3. Knowledge of growth and development throughout the life cycle is important.4. Experiences in providing pediatric and adult immunizations and analyzing immunization records to determine appropriate immunization is helpful.5. Flexibility in adapting to changing needs of the program and ability to work as a team member.6. CPR certification required.7. Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse as required by the Nurse Practice Act of Virginia. Recognizes the need to request assistance as situation warrants.
