The Food Runner position assists the Food Server in providing an expertly served dining experience ensuring all dishes are correctly prepared and presented.
BASIC PURPOSE: Serve guest needs by assisting the Food Server with delivery of food from kitchen and completing guest requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness. (30%)
2. Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner; greet guests according to Four Seasons Standards to ensure superior service. (15%)
3. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. (15%)
4. Assist in stocking linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service; assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages. (10%)
5. Assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations. (10%)
6. Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. (10%)
7. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. (10%)
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Take guest food orders.
2. Seat guests.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum one year of food service or related work.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to carry and balance a tray. Ability to accurately read food tickets and communicate orders with the kitchen and servers.
Must be available to work weekends and Holidays.
Must provide valid CA Food Handler Card upon hire.
