Assistant Deli/Bakery Managers provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to insure deli/bakery department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards; insuring customers receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department staff and operating the department according to merchandising, sanitation/safety, and operational guidelines and programs. The Assistant Deli/Bakery Manager should also insure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards, perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and customer service, as well as maintain the desired level of inventory/supplies, and maintain the department's labor budget and scheduling standards. QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be at least 18 years old • Friendly, outgoing personality • Ability to work well with others • Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally • Ability to read and understand information and direction • Knowledge of deli/bakery operations • Ability to supervise people including training and development • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job • Effective communication, customer service and selling skills • Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time • Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser • Ability to work well with computers
