Universal Protection Service is currently seeking an experienced Regional HR Manager to join the Northeast Corporate office. This person will be responsible for managing all employee and labor relations for an assigned client group of office locations. Must have reliable personal vehicle and be able to travel throughout the northeast region.

Additional responsibilities of the Regional HR Manager position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Generate offer letter packages as well as promotional offers.
  • Employee new hire orientations and on-boarding; including preparation of new employee personnel files, drug and alcohol screening and background investigation results and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.
  • Research and conduct employee investigations and develops solutions to complex issues.
  • Partners with HR Coordinators, Branch Managers, Regional Vice Presidents and Division Presidents in an assigned region and recommend, develop, interpret and clarify personnel procedures and policies to ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Assist with in-branch hiring activates on a planned or periodic "as-needed" basis, by assisting in interviewing and hiring process during peak times, or special hiring events.
  • Compliance with HR laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of management, outside officials and agencies.
  • Demonstrate skill in consensus-building and mediation to constructively address employee conflicts.
  • Serve as a resource for all employees for the assigned branches by being available and accessible to discuss all human resource related issues.
  • Maintain inter and intra-departmental work flow by providing information to and cooperating with co-workers.
Position Requirements

Qualified applicants for the Regional HR Manager position will meet the minimum requirements, as described below:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree and HR certification highly desired.
  • Must have 6+ years of employee relations HR management experience in the service or retail industry
  • Experience in a high-turnover industry and related experience managing the receipt, investigation, documentation, resolution and communication of employee relations cases of a complex and varied nature.
  • Labor relations experience handling grievances (up through or including arbitration's), including Collective Bargaining Agreement interpretation.
  • Superior verbal and written grammatical communication skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Organized and works highly independently on multiple-assigned tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
