Fire and Water Damage Estimator (Midlothian Area)
A locally owned and operated disaster restoration contractor has an immediate opening for a qualified Estimator. This Estimator is responsible for evaluating the extent of property damage, providing a complete and thorough estimate of repairs including photos, diagrams, and the properly signed authorizations and/or contracts. Xactimate software knowledge and experience are required. This position requires interaction with homeowners, commercial building owners, insurance adjusters, property managers, and project managers. Compensation is based on experience.
Job duties included:
*Write scopes and estimate of repairs for loss/damages.
*Update and maintain files in all required portals/websites and in job database.
*Write and establishes budgets for jobs within required time frame.
* Creates and maintains open communication with project manager and administrative managers.
*Maintain current relationships with insurance agents/adjusters, subcontractors, and clients.
Requirements:
*Must have construction knowledge
*Must be competent in all versions of Xactimate
*Must be competent or willing to learn Symbility Software
*Must work well in a team environment
*Must possess strong ethical values
*Must possess time/organizational/problem solving skills
*Must have excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
*Valid driver's license
*Strong computer skills
