About this job

At Dandelion Chocolate, we spend lots of time scouring the world for great cocoa beans. Now, we need someone to help us find the best candidates to join our growing teams.

As our recruiter, you'll report to the Head of HR and support the Product, Kitchen, Cafe, and Production Managers while they build out their teams of chocolate makers, production assistants, baristas, retail assistants, and dishwashers. You'll be the first Dandelion Chocolate representative to reach out to candidates, and you'll be responsible for gauging whether each individual could be a potential fit within Dandelion. You'll be measured by your candidate pipeline, professionalism, organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and how well the candidates and managers like working with you.

This is an entry-level role. If you have an unstoppable work ethic, excellent communication skills, couldn't imagine doing anything less than 110%, are nearly unflappably positive, and can take feedback like a champ, we're willing to put in the hours and manpower to train you. You'll initially work with a team that has interviewed thousands of candidates, keynoted at recruiting conferences, and who can give you a recruiting 101 that you're unlikely to get anywhere else. While we know that no role is ever permanent and that life can be unpredictable, we're looking for a candidate who can commit to this role for at least a year.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Update job postings on websites regularly
* Maintain a folder of candidate resumes and a spreadsheet documenting candidate conversations
* Conduct preliminary phone screen interviews before candidates meet department managers
* Schedule interviews with candidates and managers using Google Mail

* Send responses to all applicants and candidates
* Schedule reference checks with candidate contacts
* Compile reports with the number of candidates interviewed each week for each role
* Other tasks as necessary for the role

SKILLS
* Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Google Docs. Does someone need a PDF of a document -- no problem!
* Online skills -- Did someone give you an email address with a typo? Well you just might have a few online tricks up your sleeve to reach out to them. LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook come second nature.
* Written skills -- You always proofread your emails and when you aren't sure whether you pore, poor, or pour over a resume, you look it up.
* Organizational skills -- You're a can-do, buttoned-up person who likes punctuality and has no problem keeping track of the neverending flow of resumes, cover letters, and interviewer notes.
* Team skills -- You're known for your positive, lighthearted demeanor. People can't wait to work with you again.
* Basic HTML skills are a huge plus!
* You can be depended upon to pick up new skills as necessary for the role
