About this job
Operates and maintains x-ray equipment and takes x-rays of various portions of the body to assist radiologist in diagnosis of disease and injuries. Typically is ARRT certified.
Other duties include:
Will travel with physician to different offices
Obtain insurance authorizations as required by individual plans prior to surgery
Able to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff
Work with hospital personnel to obtain information as required for surege3ry scheduling
Attend mandatory meetings and in-services
Knowledge of surgical procedures and process
Understanding of documentation required for surgery scheduling
Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
Excellent written and verbal communication
Able to multi-task
Able to analyze situations accurately and take effective actions
Fluent in Arabic
