Description

The Co-manager is responsible for delivering a legendary guest experience in both retail and salon. This includes maintaining a high-energy, positive environment, where behaviors that support guest-centric service are consistently demonstrated. This individual is responsible for assisting with all aspects of managing a single retail store, inclusive of the salon. S/he maintains operational accountability for meeting or exceeding budgeted sales, service, guest satisfaction, and profitability goals for the store, while complying with company policies and procedures. This individual will manage and supervise the prestige manager and prestige associates. The co-manager fosters a sense of urgency and accountability for achieving objectives and holds people accountable. S/he ensures associates maintain store presentation standards, support brand consistency, and meet or exceed company goals. The Co-manager effectively plans work, makes decisions that support the achievement of company targets, and demonstrates the highest level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external guests.

* Promotes and models legendary service; creates a culture of hospitality within the store and salon

* Understands, manages and executes the GEM program in accordance with company standards

* Builds success through the development and optimization of people

* Recruits and retains top talent

* Establishes clear goals and objectives to focus the team to achieve success

* Provides coaching, training, and feedback to improve associates' performance on a daily basis

* Manages sales floor and drives retail and salon sales by addressing guest concerns, coaching associates, and maintaining loss prevention standards

* Communicates corporate directives on a daily basis

* Tracks, analyzes, and leverages NPS results and guest comments to reinforce desired behaviors and act upon opportunities for improvement

* Demonstrates knowledge and passion for company products and services

* Addresses all guest concerns and questions promptly and with professionalism

* Schedules staff effectively in consideration of store traffic and key store initiatives using current scheduling tools

* Recruits, interviews, and hires non-management staff in accordance with company hiring policy and procedures, and using an online application tool

* Supervises the management of the POS system and approves all cash wrap management, cash auditing, and tip reporting

* Ensures all company policies, standards and procedures are consistently followed

* Promotes company sales and loyalty programs to meet or exceed goals in support of company initiatives and brand standards

* Manages new hire orientation (non-management), scheduling, and payroll management for retail and salon

* Manages the prestige team to ensure all responsibilities are executed accurately and efficiently

* Assists the general manager with conducting business analysis that results in the planning and directing of associates to meet or exceed budgeted sales, control expenses, and achieve productivity goals

* In the absence of the general manager, facilitates and leads all store internal and external sales and product training, and oversees the completion of associate learning maps

* Supports the general manager with the full-cycle performance management process for the store team

* Provides general supervision when the general manager is not in the store

* Manages weekly mailings to the corporate office

Minimum Requirements

Experience we are looking for...

* Associates degree, 4 yrs. relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

* 2--4 yrs. of previous retail management experience in a complex or specialty store environment with a minimum annual sales volume of $1.5 million

* Demonstrated competency in sales, products and services

* Proven ability to positively impact store sales and profitability

* Proven ability to recruit, assess, train, develop, and promote associates

* Proven ability to build, develop, motivate, and lead diverse teams

* Knowledge of retail merchandising practices, preferably in a large and complex retail environment

* Solid computer skills and experience with POS systems

* Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, prioritization, and organization skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment

* Scheduling flexibility is required

* On a regular basis, requires the ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stand for a minimum of 6--8 hours, and lift and/or move 50 lbs.

* On a frequent basis, requires the ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch

* On an occasional basis, requires the ability to climb a ladder and maintain balance
