Position Overview: Responsible for execution of the Transactional Purchasing process across multiple non-merchandise spend categories. Responsible for execution of the Assisted Buying process for non-merchandise requests as required. Reports to the Non-Merchandise Purchasing Manager and works closely with Strategic Sourcing, Vendors, and Internal Customers at Ralph Lauren. Areas of Accountability / Tasks:Lead execution of Transactional Purchasing process for non-merchandise spend including:Assignment of Purchase Requisitions to Sources of SupplyEnsure Requisitions Receive Required ApprovalsConversion of Purchase Requisitions to Purchase OrdersTransmission of Purchase Orders to VendorsAnswer Stakeholder / Vendor Questions and Resolve IssuesLead execution of Assisted Buying process for non-merchandise spend including:Execution of Spot Buys and Tactical Sourcing EventsEvaluation of Vendor QuotesRecommendation of Source of SupplyOn-Boarding of New VendorsDocumentation of Outcomes and Financial ImpactsProvide support for Global Procurement initiatives as required:Purchasing Policy and Process ComplianceProcurement Performance Reporting and Savings
Education / Experience / Skills / Requirements: Associate's degree required. Operations, Finance, Business Management, or related field preferred.Bachelors degree preferred.Experience in Retail, Fashion, or related industry preferred.Experience with ERP Systems (SAP) and Ariba preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.Advanced written and oral communication skills required.Foreign language skills preferred.
