Lead and direct store operations in Store Manger’s absence, promote the safety of all employees and customers, responsible for the financial performance of the store, and the preservation, appearance and maintenance of store assets.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years experience in retail (automotive) management or applicable job experience
  • Ability to assist in recruiting, training and motivating personnel in order to balance staffing with profitability and growth
  • Ability to learn, via classroom and on-hands field training, all aspects of store operations and management


Physical Demands: 
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; work in awkward positions; lift items weighing in excess of 5 pounds; exit and enter the building in any weather; transfer oneself from one work level to another and move materials from one height to another. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Authority:

  • Promote and enforce safe operating methods in the store
  • Motivate, supervise, maintain, evaluate and hold accountable direct reports to ensure proper execution of all store operation functions
  • Directly responsible for store operations and performance in absence of Store Manager
  • Maintains and keep in proper working order all store equipment
  • Resolves customer complaints within corporate guidelines


Responsibilities:

  • Employee and customer safety
  • Compliance with all applicable OSHA, safety and environmental regulations
  • Continually improve customer satisfaction, cost effectively meet customer needs, and expectations
  • Support the Store Manager to achieve the store’s financial objectives, through directing, controlling, implementing, evaluating, and monitoring, as needed to achieve acceptable profits and control costs
  • Complete administrative tasks in the absence of the Store Manager or as directed
  • Develop working knowledge of Lube Stop scheduling processes
  • Build trusting, lasting customer relationships
  • Keep employees informed of company/store plans and progress
  • Identify training needs and initiate development of subordinates
  • Store asset control
         a. All sales transactions are recorded and receipts are given to customers
         b. All sales transaction proceeds are safeguarded, and deposited per policy
         c. Daily cash drawer opening balances are maintained per corporate guidelines
         d. Inventory control – conducts monthly physical inventory and periodic cycle counts. Ensures proper accounting of all inventory          transactions
  • Quality of service – service in a timely manner that meets customer expectations
  • Appearance of store location and employees


Duties (included, not limited to):

  • Ensure employees are operating in a safe, productive manner
  • Ensure customers are notified of proper and safe car handling during service
  • Maintain proper balance between CSI (ticket average) and accommodating business volume
  • Proper store staffing and employee scheduling is maintained
  • Proper tool inventory is maintained at all times
  • All work is performed per manufacturers’ recommendations
