POSITION SUMMARY

As a Full-Time Customer Service Representative at Aetna, you'll work with our customers by fielding questions and solving their problems according to the rules of their contract. You'll access information from a variety of computerized systems and reference materials. You'll work to ensure customer satisfaction and retention while effectively documenting all contacts with our members.

Fundamental Components:

Essential Responsibilities:

Interfaces with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail to respond to routine

inquiries and resolve concerns.

Researches customer information by effectively using internal technical tools in response to inquiries including but not limited to, authorizations, payments, denials, coordination of benefits, and eligibility.

Investigates, analyzes, and resolves outstanding issues to achieve customer satisfaction and takes responsibility for following through and bringing issues to closure.

Completes transactions including simple adjustments.

Maintains complete accurate documentation of all customer interactions.

Perform other duties as required.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Effective keyboarding skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year related customer service experience.

Basic working knowledge of MS Office.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.

Successful candidates MUST:

Be flexible to work overtime

Pass a mandatory drug screen

Pass a comprehensive background check including verification of your employment and criminal record

Be at least 18 years old

The shift is 8 hours long between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm CST, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate

Training for this position will be Monday through Friday for 12 weeks (classroom and on the job training). You must attend every day of training with no absences. You'll have service expectations and goals and will be monitored for efficiency, accuracy and customer satisfaction.
