Havenwyck Hospital is a 235 bed, Joint Commission accredited and licensed psychiatric and substance abuse facility overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing behavioral health and substance abuse services to children, adolescents, and adults. Havenwyck Hospital has an excellent career opportunity for a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team of compassionate and dedicated clinical professionals. The Clinical Social Worker provides social services to all inpatient and day hospital patients under general direction of the Director of Clinical Services. This includes but is not limited to the following duties:

Participates as an integral professional member of a multidisciplinary treatment team led by the psychiatrist. Facilitates the therapeutic milieu on the treatment unit. Performs social work interventions as directed by the treatment team, the treating psychiatrist and/or the Lead Social Worker. Obtains and assesses social history information and reports this to the treatment teams. Performs discharge planning/case management from the day of admission. Provides group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, substance abuse group/didactic, and/or couples therapy as deemed appropriate by the treatment team, the treating psychiatrist, Director of Clinical Services and/or Lead Social Work. Acts as liaison for hospitalized patients with various community agencies and resources. Attends treatment team conferences and completes treatment plans. Documents in the medical record.

Masters in Social Work or MA degree from an accredited university/college required. Current and valid license in the State of Michigan as a Fully Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor required. Limited License Social Work candidates will be considered as well. Experience on an inpatient psychiatric hospital preferred. Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, performance evaluations, etc.) to be considered for an internal transfer.
