Business Unit / Department Mission
- Oversee the Showtime departments to ensure superb customer service and selling
Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary
- Majority of time spent using independent judgment to make employment-related decisions, or effectively recommend such decisions, to hire, promote, transfer, discipline, suspend, discharge, reward, or otherwise engage in resolving partner-related matters
- Schedules demo/selling events for total store
- Manages Partner morale and retention
- Provides excellent customer service and works with the staff in the department and the entire store to ensure that standards are upheld
- Ensures availability of demo items
- Prepares work schedules for department
- Orders product to maintain inventory
- Monitors department budget and payroll including product, labor, and expenses
- Builds relationships with Customers and builds customer service through Partners
- Educates Customers one-on-one through active sampling, hand sampling, demos and classes, suggesting serving combinations, scheduling events establish demo schedules
- Designs and executes merchandising programs
- Promotes division and store events through powerful planning, merchandising and taking advantage of traffic
- Achieves sales goals, prepares projections/forecasts, reviews financial tracking information, addresses performance opportunities and budget discrepancies, communicates sales goals to Partners
- Performs all duties of a representative or specialist regularly
- Provides direction, training, and feedback to all department personnel
- Ensures that all government and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration and sanitation are met
- Responsible for ensuring all sales quotas for selling specialists are met
- Acts as liaison with H-E-B and Vendors
- Purchases products for demonstrations
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE preferred:
- Proven leadership experience in a complex environment with multiple direct reports
- Knowledge of competitive market; restaurants, deli, cheese, bakery
- Learning agility
- Highly adaptable
- Successful track record of selling
- Formal culinary/selling training and 2-3 years retail store experience preferred
- Strong Leadership, communication, training and organizational skills
- Passion for selling and service
- Ability to explain features, benefits and technical aspects of full product line
- Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
- Ability to maintain an efficient operation, troubleshoot and report any malfunctions of equipment
- Maintain sanitation standards throughout the work area
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including opening, closing, and weekend shifts
- Positive role model
- Ability to lead and inspire a team
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong computer skills preferred (Microsoft Office suite)
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent presentation skills required

Physical and Other Requirements
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 - 50 pounds on an occasional basis of 3 - 25 feet in distance
- Must be able to work extended hours and varying work schedule as dictated by the business
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overhead and side to side throughout shift
