Warehouse Worker Job Description
Working in warehouse team $13.00/hour. Follows strict inventory and material handling policies to receive and distribute food and other product to member agencies. M-F 7am-3:30pm. Forklift experience required.
Properly handle, prepare, transport and store products; ensuring food safety practices are strictly adhered to,
Assist in inbound/outbound product loading and unloading,
Combine pallets,
Rearrange space to accommodate flow of inventory,
Pull orders by hand,
Use of manual and electric pallet jack,
Forklift experience required,
Ability to multi-task and react to a variety of situations at one time,
Recognize and seek opportunities for continuous learning to gain new understandings, skills and knowledge,
Keep warehouse clean by maintaining housekeeping/sanitation duties,
Assist agencies in picking up orders.
Work is performed in warehouse with a significant amount of walking on concrete, in and out of freezer and cooler. Employee must be able to bend, pick up and move objects. Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED, Basic math, sorting and reading skills, knowledge of English grammar, spelling and usage, Ability to work independently and with a team, Ability to establish and maintain relationship with diverse stakeholders.
