Network Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bellevue, WA.
The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Cisco network equipment
- Understanding of security concepts
- Security and Network systems experience
What You'll Be Doing:
- The Network Engineer supports the network infrastructure and coordinates the security to securely manage the interconnectivity within and between corporate sites.
- Network support includes, but is not limited to, network design documentation, maintenance and testing of dedicated circuits, deployment and administration of network gear including routers, firewalls, load balancers and VPN devices
- This project will span multiple quarters, will require technical knowledge needed to help install, update and remediate network equipment as part of a larger network project necessary to join Concur and SAP infrastructure standards.
- This individual will utilize proven standards within a technical framework along with people management skills to execute their daily work activities to ensure team success.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network equipment
- Expert understanding of security concepts, principles and practices, including fundamental knowledge of OSI model and intrusion detection
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining network security and network systems including LANs/WANs/VPNs/Firewalls and IDS's
- Experience with firewall/IDS installation, configuration, troubleshooting and on-going management
- Experience with some or all common security and network security products such as CheckPoint Firewall-1, Netscreen, Cisco PIX, ISS products, Enterasys, Symantec products, etc.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills utilizing MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel and Visio
- Ability to perform after hours, shift work, and be on call via pager during designated periods
- Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) certification considered a plus Get
