What You Will Do -- Software Engineer Web Apps— HSS role:
Summary: Software Development Engineer developing web based software solutions for NaviSite’s custom corporate tools.
Responsibilities:
Develop software solutions for both internal and customer use. Systems include, but are not limited to: internal company intranet, customer facing web portal and customer quoting and billing systems.Collaborate in a cross functional user environment with Business Analysts to support end customers and internal departments for requirements gathering, unit and user acceptance testingIntegrate custom software projects with 3rd party application such as SalesForce.com and Oracle ApplicationsFamiliarity with IT processes including, but not limited to: quoting, billing, audit-oriented development
What We Are Looking For--Software Engineer Web Apps— HSS role:
Software languages/technologies we are using:
PythonSQLJavaScript (familiarity with jQuery a plus)(X)HTML/CSS AJAX CoffeescriptLinux system administration—LAMP stack
Non-Technical requirements:
Ability to work from high level requirements and engage in an iterative software development life cycle methodologyProblem-solving ability and creativity a must!A track record of developing good codeAbility to adapt to changing requirements, including changes late in the development cycleAbility to work independently or in small (2-3) groups at all levels of the software lifecycle (design, architecture, development, deployment, support)Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
