The Mobile Software Architect will be a key member of the Solution Architecture group and will lead the assessment, development, and implementation of the mobile applications. The Team Member will be responsible for evaluating various architecture possibilities and developing critical technology solutions as required.

What will I be doing?


The Mobile Software Architect will develop innovative solutions and will have the ability to articulate and explain architecture to non-technical staff, co-architects and developers. The Team Member will develop end-to-end proof of technology solutions that may include experimenting with cutting edge development and architecture tools, technologies and coding practices.

  • Assess and communicate the impacts, trade-offs, risks, costs, benefits and opportunities of IT solutions

  • Experience in application development tasks, specifically, knowledge of the complete Software Development Life Cycle, Systems Architectures and the Unified Modeling Language

  • Ability to guide internal and external partners in strategy and project initiation, architecture, requirements analysis, design, project management and systems integration activities

  • Ability to assume long-term responsibility for an organization's IT systems and architecture

  • Lead the communication of projects and programs to Team Members and stakeholders

  • Guide and mentor departmental Architects, Developers, and Analysts

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization with strong relationship building abilities

  • Excellent team building and leadership skills

  • Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree

  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Software Development or Solution Architecture roles

  • A minimum of three (3) years of Mobile application development with Android and/or iOS and in a lead role

  • Java and/or Objective C programming experience

  • Demonstrated skills using Java web services (SOAP, REST)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of core design and software architecture patterns

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master's Degree

  • Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools

  • Experience with agile development processes

  • Published two (2) or more mobile applications

  • Experience with Windows application development

  • Experience with Hospitality systems
