Sodexo is currently seeking an Executive Chef 1 for Bradford Regional Medical Center. The Executive Chef 1 position at Bradford Regional Medical Center is responsible for supervision of the Patient meals, Retail menus & food production, and Catered events. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize proven tools and resources in food management and incorporate culinary expertise and innovation for the patients, employees, & Hospital guests. Will manage 15 employees.
Bradford Regional Medical Center is a 107 bed acute care community hospital located in Bradford, Pennsylvania. BRMC is located near the Allegheny National Forest and is a popular location for many seasonal outdoor activities. Bradford is located 90 minutes south of Buffalo, 90 minutes East of Erie, & 60 minutes north of Dubois, PA.
Sodexo may require a pre-employment investigation of your criminal conviction history, educational background, past employment, and activities that may relate in any way to your potential fitness for employment. In addition, you may be required to take and pass a drug test or participate in a medical screening, such as TB or respiratory testing, depending on the position and type of unit at issue.
Position Summary
Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a small account. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this position.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
