Our Default Servicing team engages, understands and advises consumer real estate customers of available solutions to resolve mortgage delinquencies.

Entry level collector; generally is completing or has completed a collections training program or has equivalent experience.

* Knowledgeable of company products and services, policies, procedures, collections systems and how to apply this knowledge when communicating with delinquent customers.

* Understands State and Federal regulations governing collection practices.

* Knowledgeable of how to interpret and document information from various sources within the company's computer systems.

* Uses auto-dial system to initiate customer contact and determine reason for delinquency; evaluates customers' financial situations and negotiates terms of repayment to bring account current.

* May be responsible for skip tracing and/ or collateral analysis.

* Refers more complex issues to higher level Collections staff.

Shifts are based on business needs of the call center:

* Regular hours will vary between 36 and 40 hours. Shifts are based on business needs of the call center:

* (11-3 Sun 6-4pm Mon-Thu) or (6-3pm Tue-Sat) PST

Start Date/training is scheduled for 10-7-15.

* Training schedule: Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm.

6+ months experience in a direct customer contact, service, collections or sales environment or an AA/AS or higher degree or 2+ years military experience. * 1 year of Collections experience, customer service experience, or call center experience.

* Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Outlook (for email).

* Ability to work independently under stringent deadlines in a high volume/fast paced environment.

* Available to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.

This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

* Reliable and consistent job history with predictable attendance.

* Excellent problem solving and negotiations skills with direct customers.

* Exposure to regulations within a financial institution and/or credit policies.

* Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

* Bilingual Spanish preferred.
