Position Summary:

This Sysco Las Vegas position is located at 6201 E. Centennial Parkway, Las Vegas, NV. 89115

Responsibilities:

Maintain the cleanliness and necessary supplies needed for the day to day operations of the product demonstration room., and kitchen Work closely with Executive Chef ensuring our customer's needs are met during their visits to our facility. Recipe preparation and raw ingredient processing in a timely manner to be used for customer visits and culinary demonstrations. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness during culinary demonstrations including washing plates, service utensils, and cooking utensils. Provide needed support during sales meetings to our merchandisers, brokers and vendors. Dining room setup for special functions in our facility. Periodic lunch preparation, normally involving the help of broker(s) and/or vendor(s). Setting up and Working at periodic, offsite, trade shows and customer relationship conferences.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Be at least 18 years old

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or general degree (GED) and two years of foodservice experience preferred, but not required. Culinary experience Must be proficient with culinary utensils and kitchen equipment Ability to operate simple computer programs. Ability to be flexible to work different hours/shifts Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, and reasonably predict customer's needs as would a server in a restaurant.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate telephone, and kitchen equipment including: oven, grill, slicer, steamer, fryer, dishwasher, and beverage machinery.
