Providence is calling a Laundry Linen Worker / Wash Person to Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, WA. This is an On Call position, variable shifts, including weekends.

We are seeking a Wash Person to be responsible for pick up, transport, sorting, weighing, loading, operating washers and dryers, and assisting with processing linen and clean up of work area.

In this position you will:

Pick up soiled linen from the chute room and St. Joseph's Residence designated areas and transports to the laundry sorting area.

Sort soiled linen appropriately according to the different wash cycles.

Weigh all soiled linen and records for the daily poundage report.

Understand how to operate the different washers and the various wash cycles for the type of soiled linen being washed.

Transfer washed items to dryers and then to carts in clean linen holding area.

Assist with folding and delivery of clean linen as assigned or as time allows.

Required qualifications for this position include:

High School diploma or equivalent

Previous washroom experience
