Position Description

Regional Life Specialist- Southern California

The Regional Life Specialist (RLS) for Life Sales is the central resource and relationship manager for their assigned territory.

Reporting to the Divisional Sales Director of Individual Life Sales, this position's primary focus is on promoting life insurance products to Edward Jones Financial Advisors and other closed distribution systems through wholesale and point of sale efforts. This includes product positioning, marketing strategies, planning, research and problem solving.

Major Job Responsibilities/Duties

*Prioritizes business plans through territory segmentation in order to achieve highest return on sales production.

*Responsible for developing regional business plans that achieve and exceed sales targets for their assigned territory.

*Builds and maintains strong relationships with the Financial Advisors of specified broker dealers and financial institutions in order to establish and achieve sales targets. Serves as the initial contact for problem resolution. Researches accounts and/or elevates issues to solve problems.

*Partners closely with assigned Internal Wholesaler and/or Strategic Account Manager, providing continuous communication on sales ideas and case management.

*Continuously analyzes territories to assess market changes or trends, personnel changes or relationship needs, and revises business plan (visits, trainings, etc) accordingly.

*Leads or coordinates training, webcasts, sales meetings, and conference calls for assigned broker dealers/financial institution's Financial Advisors to follow through with next steps and commitments

Position Requirements

Requirements

* Series 6 and 63 -- State life and health license

* Expert knowledge of Life Insurance, (Term, UL,

VUL, Estate planning, Business planning) and

familiarity with Advanced Sales concepts.

* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or

university.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting point

of sale life insurance business.

* 3-5 years experience wholesaling life insurance

products with relationships in the specified

territory preferred.

* Ability to travel throughout the territory.
