Position summary

This is for a full-time variable shift Registered Nurse RN to work in a seasonal capacity position in the Operating Room OR at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center. This position does require on-call. Candidates must be open to working day, evening, and / or weekend shifts. On-call requirements vary, but usually are 1 week night a week in 6 weeks and 2, 24 hour weekend shifts in a 6 week period.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
education requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
BSN Preferred
Hired on or after July 1st, 2013, a BSN is required or must be enrolled in BSN program within 12 months from hire date and completed within five years.
work experience requirements
One year experience preferred
Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
License/certifications
Current Colorado RN license/ Current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required;
Additional certifications may be required (refer to facility addendum(s)
ACLS upon hire or within 6 months of hire
