Graduate form an accredited school of nursing

2+ years of nursing experience

BSN preferred

Good communications skills. Proficient with keyboard and computers.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Familiarity with equipment used in ambulatory care.

Current RN Licensure in State of Illinois

Current CPR certification

Ability to work varying shifts any day of the week to meet needs of the center.

Ability to work under stressful conditions and difficult situations.

Ability to perform lifting/transfer activities relating to patients as needed, ability to stoop/bend.

Able to respond quickly to patient needs and work at fast pace.

Work environment includes probability of exposure to adverse, hazardous materials while caring for the sick.

Ability to assist in the evacuation of patients in the event of a fire or other disaster.

Routinely works with potentially infectious specimens and patients.

This position can recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of patient age groups i.e. understand child growth and development, normal pattern of adolescent behavior and looks for normal signs of aging.

This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 04/20/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

The Registered Nurse supports the physician(s) in delivering quality health care to ambulatory patients and performs a variety of clerical tasks to promote continuity of care.

Accountabilities:

Clinical Care and Health Outcomes: Provides support in the delivery of quality clinical care. Works with designated physicians to provide triage, telephone assessment and home therapies consistent with established guidelines.
