This position is responsible for the creation and execution of sourcing strategies across various retail formats, analyzing recruiting metrics, and coaching and development of regional sourcing team while maintaining governmental and employment law compliance.

Requirements

  • Leads regional sourcing team in strategy and execution of candidate sourcing activities/partnerships to generate candidates efficiently and cost effectively.
  • Effectively and consistently produces a pipeline of qualified candidates and builds a robust network of top talent with a focus on retail, leadership, and skilled/specialty roles for the purpose of lead generation.
  • Challenges team to utilize and track a variety of proactive sourcing techniques including but not limited to: identifying and connecting with passive talent through targets direct calls, canvassing efforts, networking and building partnerships with schools, communities, and diversity organizations/associations, conducting presentations and speaking engagements, utilizing complex internet searches and social recruiting methods, mining internal Applicant Tracking System, attending external job fairs, arranging and leading in-store hiring events.
  • Partners with HR analytics and recruitment marketing teams to assess sourcing channel performance and cost efficiency; revises sourcing strategies based on data/results.
  • Acts as an employer brand ambassador and helps to drive candidate interest in career opportunities. Demonstrates the ability to sell Giant Eagle's Team Member Value Proposition by understanding and utilizing candidates' varied interests to tailor marketing messages to be as compelling and persuasive as possible. Helps team to generate and deliver content that promotes and supports Giant Eagle's employment brand.
  • Champions and actively participates in recruiting initiatives and projects.
  • Develops and executes innovative sourcing strategies and campaigns aimed at generating quality candidates to meet the overall recruiting goals while always maintaining an emphasis on creating a diverse pool of talent.
  • Proactively conducts market research in an effort to develop knowledge of current external industry/market/competitor trends and concurrently develops internal knowledge of the business.
  • Builds, deploys, and tracks results of sourcing strategies and campaigns and regularly communicates this information to the Recruiting team.
  • Collaborates and partners with the Talent Acquisition Team, HR Business Partners, Confidential HR Coordinators, and Hiring Managers to forecast staffing and market needs.
  • Takes a thoughtful, customer-focused approach to candidate requests and inquiries. Delivers a positive candidate experience through continuous communication, follow-up, and engagement throughout the selection process.
  • Creates a culture of innovation by taking the initiative to look for and suggest ways to continuously improve the recruiting process and drive toward higher efficiency and quality.
  • Serves as partner and support system to Retail Operations in order to: forecast and analyze staffing needs within the region (across multiple formats), ensure prioritization and timeliness of staffing requirements, assist with full cycle recruiting during spikes in demand, process candidates through ATS from application to onboarding as necessary.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be self-motivated and collaborative within team; able to work in a fast-changing environment; is resourceful; possesses problem-solving skills and strong sense of urgency for business needs.
  • Supports other recruiting areas as needed.
  • Responsible for controlling some expense within a department. Amount of Budgetary Responsibility: $1 - $100k
