POSITION SUMMARY:

The Seasonal Administrative Assistant will enter data and maintain administrative systems that allow effective management of all HR activities.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides administrative support to the HR department. 
  • Interfaces with the public by accepting applications, scheduling interviews, and giving instructions to candidates regarding pre-employment drug testing. 
  • Assists associates with changes for direct deposit, tax withholding allowances, address, phone number, etc. 
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining files for applications and HR records. 
  • Maintains bulletin boards with current legal notices, company information, associate relations events, and other news related to associates. 
  • Conducts pre-employment background checks. 
  • Assists the HR Recruiter with new hire orientations, including scheduling orientation, completing paperwork, and conducting orientation sessions. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Complete assigned projects independently and work well within a team environment.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all associates and management staff

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years previous office, data entry, or clerical work experience
  • 1 years proficient experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and extra hours as needed
  • MUST have ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be bi-lingual English/Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.
