The position of Chief Compliance Investigator/Corporate & Global Groups Compliance & Ethics Officer ("Chief Investigator") plays a critical role in PepsiCo's Global Compliance & Ethics program (the "GC&E Program" or the "Program"), both strategically and operationally. The position will primarily serve as a global resource and subject matter expert on matters relating to anti-bribery, anti-corruption and improper payments, and provide significant input to relevant policies, online training courses and face-to-face training. The Chief Investigator must remain current in legal and regulatory developments relating to anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance, both in the United States and abroad.

The Chief Investigator will also manage the GC&E Program of periodic anti-bribery risk assessments and Integrated Assurance Assessments by working directly with the Law Department (and external counsel as necessary) as well as other business and functional partners to conduct document requests, participate in interviews, and help drive implementation of remediation or recommendations where applicable.

Additional responsibilities will include:

As a member of the GC&E leadership team, work closely with the Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer ("CCEO") and other members of the PepsiCo senior executive team to identify risk areas across PepsiCo's worldwide businesses, to tier such risks, and to design and prioritize efforts to monitor and mitigate those risks including:

Policy revisions or the creation of new policies to address emerging compliance risks and trends, including anti-bribery, business gifts, conflicts of interest, travel & entertainment

Oversee the content of GC&E's mandatory online anti-bribery training programs

Conduct in-person anti-bribery training for select employee groups and create templates for in-person anti-bribery training in other locations

Create and update of investigation protocols

Benchmark the GC&E Program, particularly with respect to anti-bribery compliance

Manage the implementation of the Global Third Party Anti-Bribery Due Diligence Program and work with the program vendors and business partners to identify, prioritize and implement third party due diligence protocols

Participate in or provide support to investigations into allegations of corruption conducted throughout the world

Act as the Compliance & Ethics Officer for the Corporate & Global Groups including "Horizontal" functions such as R&D, BIS, NASS and Sustainability), conducting or overseeing investigations of Speak Ups and other allegations involving associates in these functions or groups

Brief senior leaders on status of pending compliance investigations and bring such executives' attention to any matters that must be reported quarterly on representation letters; prepare and sign quarterly representation letters concerning compliance matters for the Corporate & Global Groups

Qualifications:

J.D. from an accredited law school

7 - 10 years of firm and/or corporate legal or compliance experience

Experience in conducting highly sensitive investigations involving FCPA, bribery, corruption, and matters involving Sarbanes-Oxley regulations

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Must have ability to think and take action independently, using sound judgment, in an environment that is often ambiguous and dynamic. Ability to make the right tradeoffs is critical for this role

Ability to "manage up" and influence leaders several levels above this role

Culturally and politically astute

Must be willing to work in a complex and matrixed environment

Experience in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information is explicitly required
