The Senior Business Analyst of Products and Services will collaborate with the business and IT stakeholders to define requirements for application development. The Senior Business Analyst of Products and Services will play a critical role in facilitating business process discussions, redesigning to solve inefficiencies, laying the foundation for application support, and enhancement planning. The Team Member will interview subject matter experts to learn about current and desired future state processes and identify how technology should support those processes. The Team Member will create artifacts (use cases) to capture requirements, assumptions, and alternative paths, from which design plans are developed. The Team Member will interact directly with business users, vendors, as well as build and support teams to identify and provide innovative solutions in response to business requirements. In addition, the Senior Business Analyst of Products and Services will collaborate on detailed designs and test plans, ensuring traceability from business goals to requirements definition to production delivery. This position will require strong communications skills, both oral and written to partner with the business and represent functional requirements to technical teams and vendors, as well as extensive use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Rational. The Senior Business Analyst of Products and Services will translate business descriptions into technical specifications.

What will I be doing?

The Senior Business Analyst of Products and Services will collaborate with the business and IT stakeholders to define requirements for application development. The Senior Business Analyst of Products and Services will compile background information on current state processes, by reviewing application artifacts, interviewing business and IT stakeholders, analyzing application performance, survey and/or Help Desk data, in order to achieve a comprehensive overview of the business issue or objective.


Other key priorities are listed below:

  • Develop use case models illustrating desire and proposed future state

  • Document assumptions, alternative paths, dependencies and risks

  • Analyze data elements and recommend data maintenance routines, evaluate systems of record and impact on integrations

  • Present use case models to business and technical teams, validate findings and plans

  • Collect formal business acceptance of target state requirements

  • As directed, develop test plans to validate that the delivered functionality addressed the agreed upon requirements

  • Participate in testing and document resul

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree

  • A minimum of five (5) years in Business Analyst roles, including participation in projects delivering software solutions

  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in business analysis for PeopleSoft Development.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience mapping business processes, isolating inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and developing transition plans

  • A minimum of three (3) years of exposure to the full project life cycle, including general design, requirements definition and analysis, system testing, and production support

  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization

  • Experience in use case and technical specification documentation

  • Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks with minimal supervision

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

 


It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:


 

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working on Financial or Human Resource system implementations

  • A minimum of two (2) years of Supervisory experience

  • Hospitality Industry experience

  • Consulting experience specifically related to technology development

  • Familiarity with database architecture and ability to understand code such as Visual Basic and Oracle SQL

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
