About the Opportunity:
Transport our residents to their doctors' appointments and to recreational outings. Make sure they're feeling okay while traveling in the van. They'll love you for it.
Responsibilities:
Complete a safety checklist and take corrective action before operating facility vehicles; safely transport residents to doctors' appointments and organized outings; assist residents to enter and exit the vehicle
Report significant changes in resident's condition or poor tolerance for travel
Make deliveries, pick up supplies and equipment; load and unload vehicle
Take vehicle for scheduled or other necessary maintenance
Perform other tasks as assigned
Van Driver Chauffeur Bus Driver Car Driver Transportation Patient Transportation
The van driver must be skilled in the safe operation of a motor vehicle and have knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance procedures. Should be patient, polite and able to communicate well with residents, their family members and facility staff. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. A High School diploma (or equivalent) and previous experience as a courtesy driver are preferred. We require a valid state driver's license.
