GARFIELD PARK BEHAVIORAL HOSPITAL is an 88-bed psychiatric hospital that has just been open for two years. We are dedicated to providing quality behavioral health services for our diverse population of children and adolescents. Garfield Park Hospital is a beautiful , state-of-the-art facility, offering some of the most advanced technologies and programs found in the behavioral health field. We are dedicated to our teamwork approach and take pride in providind a compassionate and therapeutic environment. We provide both inpatient and partial hospitalization services.
Garfield Park Hospital is owned by Universal Health Services, Inc, one of the largest and most respected hospital management companies in the nation. UHS owns and operates 218 locally-managed facilities, including 25 acute care hospitals, 187 behavioral health facilities and six ambulatory surgery centers in 36 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Hospital is seeking a Full time Nurse on our PM (3-11:30) shift to grow with us as we expand. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a stable and growing behavioral health organization in the Chicagoland community. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
The primary responsibilities are as follows: To provide quality, professional, psychiatric nursing care coordinate and delegate the nursing care within the prescribed treatment plan assure compliance with applicable laws pertaining to psychiatric treatments maintain all data and records.
Job Requirements:
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
Must be a graduate of a nursing program
BSN or MSN preferred
2-3 years clinical experience within psychiatric mental health strongly preferred
Minimum of one year experience or special training in the treatment of children and adolescents
Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing principles, working concepts and theory, leadership skills, age specific growth and development, limit setting, as well as crisis and behavioral management
Must be self motivated, results-oriented individual who is customer focused
