The Global Compliance Operations (GCO) organization provides management and oversight associated with operational support for Global Compliance including the development of operational centers of excellence for compliance functions which are operational in nature including: Alert Operations (Level 1 Alerts Disposition), OFAC/Client Screening, Due Diligence, Look Backs, Disclosure of Interest, Account Activity Reviews, Personal Account Dealing, and Licensing & Registration.

GCO is responsible for supporting and leading aspects of the firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program. The team works closely with the AML Program Management Office, Global Financial Crimes Compliance and the enterprise-wide control program teams to identify, remediate and track issues, and develop controls to sustain improvements as they are made. The company's responsibilities related to Anti-Money Laundering span every business, function and region - and apply to every customer and client of the firm.

The Due Diligence Operations team is part of Compliance Operations, and works closely with Global Financial Crimes Compliance, other groups within Compliance Operations, and all of the firm's key businesses to support the firm's AML/KYC program. The Due Diligence Operations team is rapidly growing and has hired over 300 staff members in key locations in Brooklyn, Delaware, Bournemouth and Singapore. The team covers both global and business-aligned functions supporting the firm's KYC programs. Analysts within our core operations team conduct detailed research of prospective, new and existing clients of the bank, to ensure that any derogatory or relevant information that will assist client advisors with their Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements is reported and available to our business partners.

A program team has been developed to support the core operations of the department, in developing and implementing operational and technological efficiencies and expansion of scope and responsibility. The team owns both tactical and strategic project management from conception through to delivery. The program strategy scope incorporates commitments made to our regulators and includes initiatives that focus on improved vendor management and organization constructs, consistency and robustness of procedures and controls, model validation, targeted investment in technology and operations, use of metrics, and overall strategy of the program. The team will be directly involved with third party oversight procedures, monitoring and oversight of vendors and employee accounts, as well as, working with senior team members to develop and implement the strategic operating environment and vendor technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

* Make key decisions on business processes with firm-wide impacts and secure approval from business sponsors.

* Liaise with key stakeholders and subject matter experts including: Compliance, Investment Bank, Treasury Services, WSS, Asset Management, Consumer Bank, Technology, Legal and Internal Audit to ensure vendor selection/utilization meets KYC standards.

* Document current processes, roles and responsibilities, metrics, key challenges and risks and initiatives under-way or in plan to assess against current environment to facilitate transition to target state.

* Create detailed project plans, capture/manage project risks, issues and dependencies and track deliverables through implementation.

* Develop an in-depth understanding of monitoring technologies and monitoring strategies. Understand the compliance and regulatory aspects driving Line of Business monitoring needs. Interpret this data and apply this knowledge to Investigations projects, determine solutions and resolve issues.

* Interpret and document the business requirements for Anti Money Laundering technology projects to support the Investigations teams globally. Assist in creation of detailed UAT plans and scripts. Manage the UAT process where appropriate.

* Create partnerships with the various regional operations teams, leveraging the analyst's expertise and business experience.

* Manage multiple projects concurrently.

* Work with other Project Managers and Business Analysts to ensure that overall project goals are met.

* Partner with vendor on multi-year global system implementation, and serve as key member of strategic design team.
