We are looking for a high-energy software professional, who wants a daily challenge.  The Online Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will bring overall technical expertise to the team. This person will work with cross-functional teams to design, build and test software that supports Online eCommerce applications. The candidate should be a subject matter expert in most areas throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Knowledge of Software development, Ab Initio ETL/Batch Processing, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and Quality Assurance standards and practices is desired.  Java development is required.  The Online Senior QA Analyst provides input into the Test Tooling Strategy, Design, Tool selection and Tool development.


MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

  • Lead technical application solutions to meet business and technical requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and support for product development, sustaining engineering, production, and quality activities to ensure conformance
  • Help define benchmarks per industry standards
  • Recommend new ideas and innovations to the QA Manager and/or QA Lead
  • Facilitate the optimization and continuous improvement of internal operations to meet department, quality, and company objectives
  • Work in an Agile/Iterative and Waterfall environment
  • Setup data, tools, databases and systems to support integrated test environments
  • Champion Quality Assurance process improvements across multiple teams and provide governance
  • Provide best practice guidelines
  • Pro-actively drive, design and implement changes to the automation Batch test framework to help build efficiency and depth of test coverage
  • Identify and propose areas of improvement throughout the software development process
  • Work with the Business and IT partners to support the overarching enterprise business strategy
  • Ensure all actions required to optimize quality, manage risk, and maintain compliance of products are planned and completed, and that the results drive quality
  • Lead continual optimization of quality system processes and documentation
  • Provide support for and participate as a subject matter expert in reviews and assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Review test cases written for manual testing; make necessary adjustments for suitability towards automation
  • Coordinate with test automation engineers to meet planned objectives
  • Work closely with the development staff to ensure that issues/defects are resolved in a timely and professional manner.


NATURE AND SCOPE -

  • Typically reports to QA Manager
  • No associates report to the person in this role on a permanent basis
  • Analyze and resolve complex Testing issues critical to solution delivery
  • Under constant pressure to meet demanding delivery needs and tight deadlines


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands on Java Development experience
  • Proficient in Ab Initio ETL and Batch testing
  • Hands-on knowledge of Soap UI, ITKO Lisa, and Selenium
  • Hands on experience with Unix, KSH, and Bourne Shell Scripting
  • Strong scripting knowledge with Java, Groovy and Jmeter
  • Strong development experience working on web services (REST and SOAP)
  • Experience building test automation frameworks for web services using Soap UI, Groovy, or Lisa
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Working knowledge of SVN and Jenkins – build and development process
  • eCommerce/Retail QA experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, results orientated team
  • Experience with a scripting language such as Perl
  • Passion to understand, learn, dissect and improve new technologies

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
-

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses. 


EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
