Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and implement product inspection: Receiving, in-process, first and final inspections, read blue prints, measure parts, write reports and instructions.
- Systematic problem investigation and root cause analysis. Prepare problem solving reports for internal and customer issues.
- Complete TS16949 Quality Systems Audits of supplier on-site, and follow up audit and corrective action.
- Issue supplier non-conformance and follow up corrective action, and problem solving with suppliers.
- Conduct product capability studies, monitor and enter SPC data, set control limits, and maintain SPC software system.
- Participate in pre-production (APQP) activities as quality representative.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation (Inspection Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Check Sheets, Instructions, etc.)
- Endure full implementation of all relevant procedures and instructions pertaining to TS 16949 Quality System, and company procedures and ensure documentation and records are maintained.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- 4 year degree in technical field of study preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing quality department or 2 years of plus applicable education.
Other Skills & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of statistical process control techniques and analysis.
- Blue print reading including standard geometric tolerance and dimensioning.
- Surface plate layout abilities.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
