About this job
To work within a program of treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system within the scope and realm of knowledge of the Respiratory Care Practitioner. A General Staff RCP must be able to effectively utilize evaluation and assessment skills as well as possess the ability to administer indicated therapeutic interventions. Education:
Registered Respiratory Therapist as defined by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
Experience:
Minimum one year clinical training as provided by formal education process required; other cardiopulmonary hospital-based experience helpful.
Licenses/Certificates:
Valid Florida license as issued by the Florida Bureau of Professional Regulations "Respiratory Care Act", Chapter 468. Must have a current BLS and ACLS certification prior to hire date. NRP and PALS certifications are preferred. All certifications must be approved by the American Red Cross and/or the American Heart Association. Current license/certification in specialty and in good standing with State Licensing Board.
