Job Functions:

  • Identify and implement equipment and process improvements
  • Project engineering experience
  • Address and troubleshoot manufacturing process and quality related problems
  • Assess current manufacturing process, identify and act upon improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency in CAD, Excel, MS office; familiarity with PLC/CNC, lean processes, six sigma, kaizen, AND/OR corrective action processes
  • Must effectively and efficiently present to and communicate with vendors, suppliers, customers, and associates to resolve issues or to provide instruction
  • Must possess strong mathematical and organizational skills and be able to work independently
  • Must be able to travel to company locations and/or customer sites

Job Qualification Requirements:

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related ENGINEERING discipline
  • Solid understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing, concepts as they apply to setting (KANBAN, 5S, Pull Systems, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate with vendors, customers, and employees
  • Experience operating metal fabrication equipment
  • Understanding of machine hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, programming machines, machining, and electronics are preferred
  • At least 3 years of Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering experience in manufacturing and continuous improvement
