Senior Income Tax Accountant - Full-time

A successful Senior Tax Accoutant will have the following: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3 + years of related work experience preferred.  LLM or MT is also preferred
• Advanced knowledge of tax law, tax compliance and accounting
• Excellent communication skills are required, both oral and written
• Ability to excel with time constraints and rapid turnaround situations
• Strive to achieve effective performance within the team, working for the overall success of the company
• Excel skills are strongly preferred

We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant within our Tax group that will help provide support to our Manager & Associate Tax Counsel.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories: 

• Research and interpret relevant tax law including U.S., International and State income tax law for corporate development projects and tax positions upon audit
• This position requires excellent tax research skills and the ability to apply the results to proposed transactions
• Ability to be creative and resourceful in fulfilling tax planning functions
• Must have analytical skills, including using excel spreadsheets to illustrate and calculate the tax effect on proposed transactions and audit questions
• Exercise initiative in developing personal performance and production goals with consideration to assigned tax area needs
• Adhere to departmental internal controls; escalations to senior departmental management; knowledge of variances from established work protocol
