Generally assists in the managing of the security of one client in one location, with office at the site.

Direct reports: Approximately 35 Security Officers and minimally(includes full-time; part-time; off duty police officers)

**/Description:/**

The Assistant Account Manager is responsible to assist the Account Manager in the development, implementation and management of the Center's security program and to meet the operational goals. The Assistant Account Manager will develop, improve and maintain effective relationships with both the client and the employees. Incumbent is directly responsible for hiring, disciplining, terminations, writing and administering performance evaluations for their assigned direct reports. Assistant Security Director's performance will be evaluated based on, but not limited to, the organizational and staff development, quality customer service and maintaining optimum operational practices.

**Site Management: ** (40%)

* Act as the Account Manager in the absence of the Account Manager. Assure regular communication of issues or program with Client.

* Handles any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.

* Responsible for communicating staffing needs via Requisition Form; assist recruiters in identifying, interviewing and hiring quality candidates.

* Assure communication of policies, company announcements and job openings through a consistently updated READ file at the site.

* Meet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime. Develop/maintain operational procedures so that a valid, site-specific OPM and post orders are always available for emergency reference by the security staff.

* Assist the Account Manager in overall financial management of the account to produce profitable margins. Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles utilized at the account(s), maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists.

* Take a proactive role in communicating with the client to ensure needs and deliverables are met.

* Utilizes WinTeam for scheduling and billing, and to produce necessary reports.

* Other responsibilities as determined by Client or District Manager.

**Training**: Assist in the coordinating and/or conducting of site-specific OJT, client-specific training, annual refresher training for security personnel, and meet AlliedBarton's corporate training standards. Submit the proper paperwork to the AB District. Submit the monthly training summary to the respective National Accounts Portfolio Manager. (15%)

**Supervision: ** Assure employee grievances are handled and resolved effectively and appropriately in accordance with AlliedBarton's policies, procedures. Partners with the appropriate AlliedBarton support employees, particularly HR management. Formulate and administer the annual performance reviews for Security Officers and Shift Manager and submit pay rate increase recommendations based on performance to the Account Manager. Ensures personnel records are updated and accurate (Change of Status forms, rosters, etc.) Enforce AlliedBarton policies as outlined in the handbooks, executive memos and on the portal. (15%)

**Assistant Account Manager**

**Staff Development**: Responsible for coaching and mentoring assigned Security Officers and Supervisor to include technical and professional skills utilizing performance management processes/tools (e.g. coaching, counseling, disciplining, etc.). Conduct after hour inspections a minimum of twice a month. (15%)

**Incident Reporting:** Review on site incident reports, working with the Security Officers and Supervisors to correct and improve their reporting. Update and enter the on-site incident reports into the Portfolio reporting program. Submit the Executive Summary Report to the client and National Portfolio Manager in a timely manner. (15%)

**Community Outreach**: Develop professional community relationships with such public agencies as: Police Dept., Sheriff's Dept., Fire Dept., Homeland Security, FBI, Emergency Management, Local schools and communities surrounding the site. (5%)
