About this job
Sutter Lakeside Hospital and Center for Health is a 25-bed critical access hospital serving the health care needs of residents of Lake County and its surrounding communities. Our beautifully landscaped campus houses medical-surgical beds, an intensive care unit and a new 29.000 square foot state-of-the-art emergency room and surgical center. Other specialized care services are offered through our Family Birth Center, Physical Therapy Center, and Family Medicine Clinic.
Delivers pharmaceutical care in a manner consistent with professional, quality and legal standards as required by law and regulatory agencies. Delivers pharmaceutical care in accordance to the hospital policy and procedures with the provision of patient-centered distribution and clinical services, including medication information, education, thus ensuring patient safety, effectiveness of treatment and cost efficiency. Education/ Knowledge, including Licensure/ Certification/ Registration
Graduate from a college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
PharmD and Post Graduate Residency are desirable. Holds a valid state of California pharmacist license.
One year experience in a hospital in-patient setting is desired.
Experience
A minimum one year experience in an in-patient hospital pharmacy setting is preferred. Must be able to
articulate an interest and knowledge of acute care pharmacy practice.
Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, delegation skills and the ability to work with minimal
supervision. Must be able to work in a complex and dynamic environment and take appropriate actions in
emergent situations. Must be able to communicate in an effective, tactful and diplomatic manner. Must have
teamwork and delegation skills. Must have the skills to produce accurate work results within established
timeframes.
