Opening in May 2013, AUSTIN OAKS HOSPITAL will be providing acute inpatient psychiatric services for Adults, Adolescents, and Children. The 13-acre, oak-lined campus in South Austin also includes outpatient services.

Austin Oaks is seeking qualified candidates for NURSING (RN) opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
To initiate and document special treatment procedures.
To assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations.
To provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, mental health technicians.
To provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status.
To contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
To administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by Physician.
To provide and direct milieu management.
To document nursing care, treatment and patient's response to treatment.
To provide health education to patients and families.
To maintain confidentiality of patient's medical records.
To attend mandatory training and in-services.
We are looking for experienced professionals to join us in being a community partner for mental health.
EDUCATION:
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:
Current licensure in Texas - Registered Nurse
Current CPR
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Psychiatric nursing experience. Preferred: One year inpatient psychiatric work experience. One year medical/surgical nursing experience.
