Job Summary: Kirkwood's Product Sales and Service team is looking to hire a full time Supervisor (Team Lead) for the 2015-16 winter season. The PSS Team Lead is responsible for supervising the Season Pass and Ticket Offices and leading their team successfully in front line ticketing and pass sales with an infasis on audit compliance, data collection, safety, and service. This position is extremely Guest Services oriented. We are looking for an organized individual who is positive, outgoing, has a passion for the outdoors, is well disciplined, and takes pride in their work.

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Supervising up to 30 employees;
  • Monitor staffing levels vs. flow of business;
  • Responsible for the office inventory including ticket and pass stock;
  • Selling and issuing of Season Passes including the handling of sensitive information;
  • Responsible for the safety of the department and ensuring that all resort safety requirements are met;
  • Ability to lead the ticket team in achieving sales goals, tracking and maintaining a positive guest experience;
  • Understanding of the department’s budget and financial standing and tracking as much;
  • Ability to reward and discipline employees as needed;
  • Ability to understand the importance of legal documentation directly related to a Ski Resort and to ensure that all forms are filled out correctly;
  • Accurately manage transactions (including cash, credit cards, vouchers, and coupons);
  • Assists in the development of the department’s training tools and training days;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • All employees are to understand and abide by the rules of the mountain and help to ensure the guest know them as well;
  • Recognize existing and potential problems and suggest resolutions;
  • Own, personalize, and elevate overall office experience with guest and front line agents.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Previous supervisor experience;
  • Previous Point-of-Sale experince;
  • Able to lift and carry 30 lbs;
  • Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently;
  • Able to work in all outdoor weather environments (indoor and outdoor position).


Preferred skills:
  • 1-2 years previous supervisor experience in high paced work environment;
  • 1-2 years Guest/Customer Service experience;
  • 1-2 years of RPOS and Guest Connect experience;
  • Previous experience in PSS Vail Resorts department;
  • Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
