Senior Manager, Product Marketing - Eden Prairie, MN or Wakefield, MA

Join an innovative team and support the creation of a new business unit within Optum.  Optum is charting a new course in the Provider IT space and is looking for Seasoned IT product marketers.  We are seeking individuals who have experience in marketing IT products and services.  Areas of interest for us include analytics, infrastructure, cloud, Big Data, security and data management.  The individual will be responsible for helping create new products and services and launching them into the market with the full backing of the Optum brand.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for facilitating research to test product owners' hypotheses regarding market need and receptivity
Responsible for translating the product value proposition (from the business case) into a compelling narrative that addresses customers' challenges describes benefits and differentiates Optum from competitors
Responsible for creating, securing approval of and driving product marketing strategy across all segments
Responsible for creating and promoting content demonstrating how product addresses a need, innovation, expertise and program success as expressed by Optum SMEs, satisfied customers and influential third-parties
Responsible for creating product-specific content for use by Segment Marketing and Sales Office
 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering, information technology, and/or computer science
10+ years of experience marketing technology products and services
10+ years of consulting and/or technology industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA degree
Previous experience in the healthcare industry
Able to balance strategic thinking with the urgency to drive work forward
Adapt quickly to changes in work direction and able to pivot work accordingly
Demonstrated ability to influence teams and prioritize deliverables
Proven organizational skills
Ability to be flexible
A self-starter who can operate well in a changing environment and sometimes ambiguous environment
Team player with strong ability to form working professional relationship
Experience using data and research to formulate logical business recommendations
