Currently Experis is working with one of our leading clients to find Quality Assurance Software Engineer with specific experience testing highly scalable distributed systems using open source tools during the full software lifecycle. Our client is looking for dynamic, energetic, and inquisitive people, with a strong software engineering fundamentals: OO design, code reviews, functional, system and performance testing. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal professional will have the following experience and be available immediately or within two weeks.
Job Title: Quality Assurance Software Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA

Requirements (DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE RECENTLY USED THESE SKILLS):
- Hands-on experience with highly scalable distributed systems using open source tools during the full software lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, support).
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: OO design, code reviews, functional, system, and performance testing.
- Building and/or testing large-scale data processing systems with extensive knowledge in data warehousing solutions.
- Strong SQL skills, ability to write complex SQL queries from scratch
- Strong hands on experience testing database systems
- Strong OO software development skills (Java experience preferred) and experience with automating big data and reporting use cases
- One or more big-data infrastructures such as Hbase, Hadoop, Mongo, Casandra, or RDBMS.
- Knowledge of the following technologies or concepts: GoodData, ElasticSearch, SQL, Amazon Web Services, Data ETL and data modeling, Modern build tools like Maven/Jenkins/Github, Agile development methodology, open source test tools such as Selenium WebDriver/TestNG/Junit/jmeter, Linux
- Experience working in a fast moving and innovative agile team that delivers value frequently
- Leading quality and testing efforts for a team working in an agile environment
