Camp Counselor (Kennel Tech)
Camp Bow Wow is a premier doggy day care and overnight boarding facility. We are looking to hire friendly, energetic people who LOVE dogs! Our goal is to hire great people and treat them like family! 

Camp Counselor Job Description: 

• Provide all dogs with kindness and respect at all times.
• Ensure the safety of all of our campers by following strict operations policies.
• Safely manage groups of up to 25 dogs in an open play yard environment.
• Understand the difference between dogs playing and dogs being aggressive.
• Clean up dog waste in play yards.
• Ensure a clean and sanitary facility.
• More cleaning...yes we do a lot of cleaning!
• Basic dog grooming, baths, and nail trims.
• Standing on your feet all day long and cleaning. It is a very labor-intensive environment.
• Communicating effectively with peers and leadership.
• Always be dependable and on time.
• Demonstrating a positive, fun attitude.

Camp Counselor Qualifications:

• Minimum age requirement- eighteen years old.
• Passion for the care of dogs, no fear of dogs.
• Strong work ethic.
• Strong communication skills.
• Be a person of integrity and commitment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be dependable and punctual– an absolute requirement.
• Able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand/walk for an entire shift.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Able to pass a background/criminal check.
• Previous kennel experience a plus.

Morning shifts: 6:30am-1:00pm

Afternoon shifts: 1pm-7:00pm

Must be able to work weekends and holidays (including spring break, Memorial weekend, July 4th week, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, & Christmas).
