CNC Lathe Machinist

The company specializes in custom open die forgings and seamless rolled rings. They have 5 plants between Redford and Livonia focusing on forging, heat treating, machining, testing, milling and turning of parts for the Aerospace, Defense, Nuclear, Power Generation industries.


They have a need for a CNC Lathe operator/programmer

Requirements:
1. Strong machinist background
2. Operating experience including; set-ups, off-sets, tool changes
3. Experience doing their own inspection including ability to use and read hand tools (mics, calipers, gauges, etc.)
4. Programming ability with G & M codes (they use mastercam and will make edits with in that software).
5. Experience with LARGE parts
6. Open to learning how to use an over head crane to set up their parts since they are extremely large.
7. Intangibles are: Work ethic, team player, safety conscious, multi-tasker, able to ask questions, pull the weight if someone is out sick or on vacation.
THe shops are fairly large in size because of the size of the machines. It is clean, and there are a lot of safety measures in place as this is their number 1 focus.
