About this job
Candidate must be able to perform reference standard characterization testing and be able to reference materials in order to run other tests. Candidate must be a detail-oriented person and a have high level of attention to detail. The candidate must be able to verify that the materials (API) they are using are good for tests downstream and they must be able to make sure the tests they are currently working on are pure and can be used later on. Candidate must have experience in Karl Fisher, TGA ( to evaluate the presence of solvents), DSC (differential scaling calorimetry), FTIR, and LCMS. They must be able to determine melting temperature, identify polymorphs, and be comfortable with different types of instrumentation. Must have the potential to learn and know exactly what tests they will be performing. Experience in raw materials testing, drug product testing, API, organic chemistry, synthetic chemistry, and small molecule testing is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in related field
- Masters and 5 years' experience
- BS and 5-10 years' experience
- GMP experience (preferred)
