DaVita Nephrology Practice Solutions is seeking an experienced A/R Billing Specialist to join us in our Tempe, Arizona office. Ensure accurate and timely charge entry Initiate collection follow-up of all unpaid or denied claims with the appropriate Payor or Patient Research, appeal and resolve claim rejections, underpayments and denials with appropriate Payor Respond to written Payor communications as indicated with appropriate action in timely manner Process claims and appeals by gathering information for appeals, requesting re-bills, typing appeals, scanning appeals, filing in the electronic claims library and mailing to the appropriate insurance company Request medical documentation from facilities for appeals Update insurance and/or patient demographic information in the billing system as required during collections process Communicate payment or denial patterns that impact revenue to management in a timely manner Document daily in the billing system all follow up and communication on a patient account in a consistent and concise format Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clinical personnel, teammates and Payor representatives Other duties as assigned Able to work overtime with little or no notice as needed Attend staff meetings, phone conferences and training as needed Know, understand, and follow DaVita teammate policies and procedures Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential function Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies

High School diploma or equivalent experience required Minimum of 2 years medical collections experience preferred Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook and an electronic accounts receivable system Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word
