Job Description:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the testing of Raw Materials, In-process, Finished product and Stability samples in a cGMP environment and conducting method verification/validation studies.
  • The candidate will utilize wet chemistry, physical inspection tools and instrumental analysis (HPLC, GC, and IR, UV, TOC etc.) to fulfill these requirements.
  • Other responsibilities include data entry and approval in LIMS, preparation of various wet chemistry solutions, maintaining documentation, reviewing documentation and performing housekeeping.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned by the Supervisor in charge as needed.

Qualifications:

  • BS or advanced degree in Chemistry is required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with wet chemistry, titrations and instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, IR, UV/VIS and TOC in a cGMP environment is preferred
  • Experience conducting impurity testing
  • Experience with analytical method development and validation in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred Candidates should have strong math skills Experience in quantitative methodology (weighing, pipetting and dilutions)
  • Good documentation and record keeping skills
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of chemistry applications in pharmaceutical industry, is preferred
  • Experience with MS office and Totalchrom data acquisition system is preferred

Work Environment:

This is a second shift position, 3:30PM to 12:00AM, Monday - Friday. Training will be on first shift, 7:30AM to 3:30PM, Monday - Friday for the first three to five weeks. The majority of this position will be spent in the lab performing testing and reviewing documentation. The second shift team will be comprised of eight chemist's and the shift supervisor.
