Store Director is needed for a fast growing grocery chain. This position has the potential to lead to a District Manager role.
Director is responsible for achieving budgeted financial and operating results for an assigned store. Maximize store sales and profitability by ensuring the execution of promotional and merchandising programs in accordance with the Grocery Operations Department, Purchasing Department & Sales and Marketing Department plans. Responsible and accountable for the operation of the entire store, including achieving all financial merchandising, sanitation, state and federal regulatory, training and human resource objectives
Review financial reporting results to determine where the store stands relative to budgeted sales, expenses, and payroll; share results with associates. Work with store associates to identify the root causes of issues and inefficiencies and develop plans for resolution.
- Minimum 3 years previous supermarket management experience required.
-Strong understanding of all phases of store operations in a retail environment.
-Must possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written), good leadership and interpersonal skills.
-The ability to get along with customers, vendors, suppliers and associates, and must be able to motivate and lead others.
-Must have basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, gross margins, markups. Percentages and volume.
-Working knowledge of computers required
-Must be fluent in English and Spanish
